Course Overview:
In a world where audiences are overwhelmed with messages, the ability to tell a compelling story is a critical skill. This course helps participants design powerful narratives that build trust, shape perception, and influence behavior. Through practical frameworks, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to craft authentic stories that connect with audiences and create lasting impact.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, the students should be able to:
Explain how storytelling shapes modern communication and identify how narratives influence audience attention, beliefs, and engagement in the digitoral media environment.
Evaluate common storytelling failures in marketing and communication, including vanity, authority, insincerity, puffery, and gimmickry, and explain why these weaken audience trust.
Analyse how myths and cultural narratives shape public perception and apply the concept of the myth gap to understand emerging opportunities for organisations and brands.
Design a strategic narrative using storytelling frameworks such as hero, mentor, conflict, moral, and higher human values to build meaningful and engaging stories.
Develop authentic storytelling strategies that align narrative messaging with real organisational actions, ensuring credibility, trust, and long-term impact.
