Course Overview:
This AI programme teaches you to talk to AI; this one teaches you to delegate to it. Over two hands-on days, the core ideas (the agent loop, the autonomy spectrum, orchestration, and governance) emerge from concrete builds, and you leave with a small portfolio of agents and automations you actually use.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants will be able
to:
Apply basic prompt and context-engineering techniques to improve AI-generated outputs.
Distinguish an AI agent from a chatbot or fixed workflow using criteria related to goals, tools, adaptation, and autonomy.
Describe the stages of the agent loop and identify where a simple agent task may have failed.
Write a structured agentic prompt that defines the task, expected output, constraints, and points requiring human approval.
Create a basic Custom GPT tailored to a defined workplace use case.
Use NotebookLM and Gamma to organise source material and produce a presentation.
Build a simple Make.com workflow containing a trigger, an AI-enabled step, conditional logic, and basic error handling.
Interpret and compare agent-based and workflow-based approaches in terms of flexibility, visibility, cost, reliability, and trust.
Identify common agent risks and apply basic safeguards such as limits, checkpoints, and human approval.
Evaluate whether an agentic AI tool is suitable for a specific workplace task before adopting it.
