LUMS ensures an enabling environment for learning and takes strict action against any Violation of the Code of Conduct.

GENERAL

  • LUMS has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of aggressive behavior such as harassment, stalking, or ragging activities which can result in strict disciplinary action.

  • Vehicles are allowed in the designated Free Parking area only.

  • Parking on pathways, roads and crossings is considered a violation of campus policies.

  • There will be a refundable security fee of PKR 5000 charged to all the participants enrolling in the Summer School.

  • Repeated parking violations will result in fines and/or being barred from entry into LUMS.

ADMISSION

  • LUMS reserves the right to grant or deny admission.

  • Admissions are processed on a first-come-first-served basis. No further enrollments will be taken once the seats fill up for a particular session.

ATTENDANCE

  • At least 80% attendance and submission of graded components are required to receive a certificate of completion.

  • Attendance will be marked during the first ten minutes of every class.

  • Participants coming late or leaving early from the class will be marked absent.

  • Certificate of completion must be collected within a month of session conclusion.

  • The Centre will not be responsible for damaged or lost certificates after the aforementioned deadline.

  • Marking proxy attendance is strictly prohibited and is considered a violation of LUMS policies.

  • CES reserves the right to not award a certificate if the course criteria is not satisfactorily met.

  • PKR 5000 will be charged in case of a name change or reprint of the certificate.

SMART CARD

  • PKR 3000 will be charged in case of damage to or loss of a smart card.

  • Misuse of the smart card on and off-campus or facilitating unauthorized access to outsiders to enter the campus will be a breach of LUMS policy and can result in strict disciplinary action.

  • Participants are required to return the smart card in the last class of the session. Failure to do so can result in the non-issuance of the certificate and the participants being barred entry into LUMS.

  • In case of a lost or stolen card, the student should immediately contact the team with their details at: ces@lums.edu.pk or summerschool@lums.edu.pk

REFUND

  • The session fee is non-refundable.

  • Refunds are only given if a session is cancelled by the Center for Continuing Education Studies.

ACCOMMODATION

  • All participants will check in at the assigned date and time and will check-in in person.

  • Participants will be charged in case of damage to any property.

  • Participants can meet their families within specified hours. However, they cannot leave the campus during the program without permission from the CES management.

  • Smoking/usage of contraband material is strictly prohibited. Participants will be immediately expelled from the hostel if any case is reported.

  • Guests/outsiders are not permitted in the dorms.

  • Participants will not leave their rooms unlocked. CES management/Housing office will not be responsible for the loss of participants' items/personal belongings. In case of theft, the matter will be reported to security.

  • LUMS does not provide housing for YLP participants.

  • A mandatory curfew of 11 PM is in effect for all students residing on-campus/availing on-campus accommodation to ensure a secure living environment.
