Overview:

This course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Power BI's key components. In addition to covering data visualisations, participants will learn data-cleaning and data-modelling techniques, which are essential for building efficient and scalable dashboards.

The course will also introduce participants to DAX, enabling them to perform advanced analytical tasks. Towards the end of the course, participants will explore advanced features of Power BI, including AI integration for more robust, insightful analysis.

The lectures will be conducted in lab sessions, where participants will work on real-world datasets under the instructor's guidance to gain hands-on practical experience.

Course Outline

Shakir Aslam

Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)

Shakir is a CFA and CAIA charterholder and currently works as an Associate at Amaana Capital, a US-based venture capital firm investing across Pakistan, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Previously, he worked as a Data Analyst at KalPay Financials and as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Jiye Technologies. Earlier in his career, he was part of a research team at the LUMS Biology Department, where he helped develop a disease-progression model for COVID-19 patients.

Application Process:

Participants must register online through the CES website by clicking on their desired course and filling out a one-page form. Before starting the registration process, please ensure that you have the following:

- A passport-sized photograph for the CES smartcard. It should be against a white background.

- Correct CNIC details.

Incorrect information provided during the registration process will lead towards cancellation of your enrolment at any stage, and participants will not be entitled to claim a refund.

Once you have completed your online registration, you may proceed to the payment section. You have two options:

1. Pay online using your bank debit/credit cards through LUMS online payment system??https://pay.lums.edu.pk

2. Download the fee voucher and deposit cash in any branch of the designated banks specified on the fee voucher.

Once the payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 to 48 working hours, and your payment status will be updated to "ENROLLED" in the online application portal.

Note: CES may cancel or postpone a course due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances.
